Masquerades transitioned from being elegant balls for the wealthy to public festivals for the masses. During this transition the masquerade mask became a disguise put on so that people could do what they would never have done had people been able to see who they really were. Join us for our new series Masquerade as we take a look at how we put on a mask, at first because we think it would be fun but before we know it we find ourselves living in the disguise and doing things we never thought we would.
